Ok. So, fun fact. I’ve been tracking weekly goals all month, I just haven’t blogged about them… whoops. This is the firs Sunday where I’ve actually felt up to dedicating some serious hours at my desk to anything other than work on the novel.

- There’s progress here, but I haven’t quite got 100% caught up. So also kinda?
Weekly Word Count: 4,024
So, as you can see, that’s no small amount of words. Progress has been made on the novel pretty consistently this past week, and I’m really hopeful that I can call this rough draft done soon. That’s really been my focus this week. I also wrote a poem and a couple pieces of microfiction. So, yay!
It was a very straightforward week. I’ve got a set routine to when to write, I’m reading consistently, and slowly but surely the podcast is working its way back into the rotation. Point is, I’m settling. I’m finally settling into our home and this new work/life balance I’ve found.
And boy, does it feel good!

Look. I’m making progress on these, and didn’t quite complete any of them last week. It only makes sense to keep the goals the same. I’m feeling really good about that state of things – the novel is damn near done. I have it outlined through to the end, with about 10k words to go. I already have some key areas I know need addressed in revision, so I’m confident that I’ll be able to jump into the next stage of the project pretty quickly.
The Newlsetter has been outlined and the microfiction written, I just have to record the audio and actually write up the letter. It should be in your inbox by the time you read this. The podcast is damn near back on track. I’ll be uploading The Saga Saga: Volume 4 today or tomorrow, and then the August episode of the main show will be live this Friday.
So, lots of things happening over here, but I’m feeling really productive and high energy about it all, which is a VERY nice change of pace.
I’ll be back later this week to talk about August and take a look ahead at September. (I’ll also be sharing some good news, so keep an eye out!)
