Weekly Word Count: 5,258
So, here’s the deal. The first week of November is a shitshow, okay? I’m currently writing this from a hotel room I’m sharing with a coworker while it dumps freezing rain beyond the window. And it’s 11 o’clock at night, after a long day of driving, socializing, and wrangling 22 teenagers.
Phew. 
Add to that the PDX Book Fest and Trev’s bday and my word count was doomed from the start.
But, all of these things are good. Trevor’s birthday was a blast, PDX Book Fest was awesome, and this coastal conference isn’t the absolute worst. It just isn’t offering me much time to work on my novel…
But, the sessions I did get went very smoothly and words are coming relatively easily so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
What's Next?
- Get word count back on track (20,004 words by end of day Saturday)
- Workout/Read 30 minutes a day
- Edit and post podcast
This week is basically the exact opposite of last week. I only work one normal day (Tuesday) and am off Thursday and Friday, which means I have ample time to make up some of those word count deficits and get this book back on track.
So, yeah. That’s what’s up. I’ll be back with the next installment of Outings! this Wednesday, so be on the lookout for that!
