It was a pretty calm week. I don’t have a whole lot to talk about, but I’m sure I can still manage to ramble my way through this post. Let’s find out…

- No. I’m feeling a bit fizzled about this one. We’ll see if I can finish it.

- I decided not to look at this story this week after all. I want some distance before I dive back into it one last time.
Weekly Word Count: 697
Initially I was disappointed by that word count, but when I compare it to the rest of the month so far, I think it actually makes sense. I’ve written a lot this month, I needed a week off. I read a lot, spent time with friends, recorded an episode of the podcast, and spent a lot of time working on a giant, custom paint by number we got for our anniversary.
It was a pretty relaxing week.

It looks familiar, but that’s all right. We’ll see if I make any more progress this week. I’ve had some other half-finished short stories bubbling up in these quiet days, so I’d like to be done with these two and pave the way for something new.
I’d also like to get out of town this week, even if only for a day. I’m feeling restless. Pent up. I need to get outside. We’ll see if I can get out to the coast this week.
That’s all I’ve got. No other posts planned, but that didn’t stop me last week, so who knows!
