It started out fine, if a little stressful. We rushed to checkout chromebooks to every student, just in case we needed to make the move to distance learning. It was a mad-dash day, but it went pretty well all things considered. I’m proud of that work, and the people who helped make the day a success.
Then Wednesday hit and I didn’t feel right. Not bad, per se. Not necessarily sick, but I felt like I’d smoked a pack of cigarettes in my sleep. As the day wore on and the feeling didn’t abate, I made the decision to leave work and be safe. Two years into this pandemic I had my first COVID test on Thursday. I don’t have results yet, but after a few days of mild body aches, some tightness in my lungs, and stuffy/runny nose, and absolutely exhausted, I am feeling much improved today. I don’t know yet if it was/is in fact COVID, but if it was, being vaxxed to the max definitely helped.
Get vaccinated y’all.
So I’ve been home since mid-day Wednesday. I hoped to be pretty productive in that time, but I’ve been mostly lounging around, napping, and playing It Takes Two with the husbando. We don’t often have this much uninterrupted time together, so we made the most of it, haha. Today though, I’ve felt a bit better and more myself. I had my Mentor Meeting through Willamette Writers (it was amazing and I’m so excited to get connected with Wendy!), and then I revised another ten chapters of Tavi. That particular project continues to go very well and fill me with warm fuzzy feelings.
I also got a new planner, and am OBSESSED with it. If you enjoy a good paper planner, I suggest you check out Panda Planner, because it is a thing of beauty, lemme tell ya.
Anyway, that’s the state of things at the moment. We’re about to make dinner and spend the evening playing games and/or reading. I’ll be back soon with the usual goals post.
Until then, Bloggarts!
